About the Role

Responsible for assisting the Warehouse manager by supervising all, functions or specific functions of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, returns (including parts/supplies) loading / unloading trucks, picking and packing finished goods, and shop equipment - pre-install, reman / refurb and configuration. Maintaining a high level of productivity and ensuring that all orders and returns are processed accurately and on-time on a daily basis.



Your Impact

First line supervisory responsibility of warehouse employees engaged in all distribution center activities including: shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, and packing finished products. Also responsible for identifying space requirements and coordinating needs for storage with delivery and distribution schedules to achieve distribution center goals and ensure customer satisfaction. Duties also include maintenance of equipment and ensuring a safe work environment, and to suggest procedure changes for increased efficiency.Supervises the activities of warehouse personnel in order to ensure maximum levels of productivity, and to reduce turn around time of orders. Investigates inquiries of customers and internal personnel concerning shipment of merchandise to provide factual information and to assist with the resolution of problems. Coordinates the daily work effort of a group of employees within a specific department. Responsible for day-to-day operations, with limited focus on short-term operational targets. Exercises judgment within existing policies and procedures and recommends tactics for meeting work plans; mobilizes resources accordingly. Selects, develops and evaluates subordinate employees. Typically reports to a Manager.



About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

Requires 5 years of related experience and management of two or more regular full-time employees; bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a warehouse or distribution area, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory position. Excellent interpersonal skills required for the effective management of subordinates. Experience with personal computers is preferred. Requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job. This position is subject to updated background checks which includes a motor vehicle report. Employee must possess a valid driver's license, have proof of insurance and can have no more than (2) minor moving traffic violations within a thirty-six (36) month period. Employee must complete a Safe Driving/Defensive Driving Class within two months of hire and every three years thereafter. Canon U.S.A., Inc. will utilize the information in the background checks to determine an employee's continued eligibility to drive for company business. Employees with motor vehicle records that violate the Canon Motor Vehicle Policy posted on the Canon intranet may be deemed ineligible to drive on company business and/or be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including employment termination.

We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $61,800-$92,520 annually.
